Ephesians 4:14-16

  1. We started by hearing about the various ministries happening at MBC, are there any specific ways you’re grateful to God for His work among us as a church family?
  2. We then heard that the passage is one that wraps up this particular section of encouragement in Ephesians. What have you found to be the most encouraging truth of Ephesians 4:1-16 at this time in your life?
  3. In v. 14, a warning is given about being spiritually immature. How does the Bible help us examine ourselves and see where growth and maturity are needed?
  4. In v. 15a, there is a call to embrace both truth and love. Which of these is more challenging for you to embrace? How can we grow in truth? How can we grow in love?
  5. In v. 15b, we see that the expectation is that the church grow into Christ, who is the head. The question posed in the sermon was: what would it look like for you to grow up and grow into Christ over the next year?
  6. In v. 16, we started with a reminder on the source of growth being Christ…and not ourselves. Why is it important for us to remember the true source of growth and life as we live our lives?
  7. We then saw that in God’s doing, the church is knit together and needs one another. What have you seen as the biggest blessings of being a part of a church family?
  8. We ended by seeing that as the church grows, it grows in love. What are specific ways you can love your brothers and sisters in Christ at MBC? What are helpful things to pray for one another?
