Matthew 25:14-30

1) Singing is important in the worship of God. Singing has always been important in worship. What do you appreciate most about the singing at MBC? Are there any song lyrics that you especially appreciate?

2) The first thing we need to know in order to use our "talents" correctly is the number of talents we have!

a) What has God given you, either material or immaterial, that you can use for the kingdom?

b) Think deeply and be creative! How many can you think of?

c) Do you have a plan of how you will use those gifts? How do you serve the kingdom currently?

3) The third servant says that the master "reaps where he does not sow and gathers where he scatters no seed." What does this mean?

a) God created the world from nothing (Hebrews 11:3), and Jesus can raise up offspring of Abraham from stones (Matt 3:9). How should this change how we interact with the world?

4) We ought to use what we have for the good of others lest we meet with penalty, that is the negative aspect. What is the positive aspect? What is the upside of multiplying talents? 

a) Does everyone at the judgement day recieve the same rewards? Yes or no? Why or why not?

b) Is it wrong to obey God and to press on with the hope of gaining more rewards?

c) Who is someone you know that you believe will be rewarded greatly and why?
