Ephesians 4:1

  1. Why is Eph. 4:1 such an important verse in the structure of Paul’s letter to the church at Ephesus?
  2. What we truly believe dictates how we behave. Share some examples of how you seen this principal demonstrated in your own life and the lives of others.
  3. Why does Paul want the saints at Ephesus to remember who they are in Christ by the grace of God as he instructs them on how to live for Christ to the glory of God?
  4. Who are we in Christ, according to the first three chapters of Ephesians? (Ex. We are saints, God’s holy ones)
  5. How has the grace of God compelled you to live for Christ?
  6. Follow me, as I follow Christ, for the glory of God. What is difficult and dangerous about those words?
  7. Who at MBC would you follow as they follow Christ and why?
  8. God’s gracious calling of us has bestowed on us tremendous blessings and has given us serious responsibilities. What are some blessings that we have as followers of Chris and what are some responsibilities that we have as followers of Christ?
  9. Welcoming one another, based on Romans 15:7, is a manner in which we can live in a manner worthy of the calling to which we have been called. What were the three ways, mentioned at the end of the sermon, that we can welcome one another?  What are some other ways that followers of Christ at MBC can/should receive one another with great love and compassion?
  10. Share an example of someone who received you or your family with special concern.
