  1. Remind each of other who are in Christ? (Example: We are saints = God’s holy ones)
  2. The Greek term translated “humility” in verse 2 stood for opposition to selfish ambition and conceit and was aligned with selflessness and tremendous concern for the welfare of others. Who at MBC is an example of humility and how do they specifically demonstrate humility?
  3. The Greek term translated “gentleness” in verse 2 referred to the quality of not being overly impressed by the sense of one’s own self-importance and it was usually associated with being polite towards others in a strenuous situation. Why is “gentleness” often difficult for us to exhibit in our daily lives?  How did Jesus exhibit “gentleness?”
  4. The Greek term translated “patience” in verse 2 referred to persistence in one’s convictions. Do you currently face persecution for persisting in biblical convictions at work or in your home and how so?
  5. Spend some time praying for MBC and our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world that we would suffer well for the sake of the Gospel.
  6. Why do followers of Christ get easily annoyed with one another? Are you and how are you displaying love towards those who annoy you at MBC?
  7. What compels believers in Christ to energetically maintain and increase the unity of believers?
  8. What worship opportunities, in addition to Sunday morning corporate worship and community group, are you going to participate in regularly come this Fall?
  9. Why is the unity of MBC precious and powerful?
  10. Read Romans 8:38, 39 together
