The "MBC Youth Daily Devotional" is pretty much what it sounds like. Monday - Friday, a "devotional" will be posted for youth students to easily access, read, study, and reflect on. These brief Bible studies and theological reflections are meant to help youth students deepen their understanding of God's Word and apply the truth of Scripture to their lives.
Now, these devotionals are not meant to replace personal Bible reading and study but are instead a tool, a resource, in addition to personal Bible reading and study so that the youth student can continually be saturated by God's Word and His Will. We encourage students to have personal Bible reading and study time. So, we hope that youth students will use these devotionals for the glory of God and their own good.
Like any "daily devotional," the MBC Youth Daily Devotionals are meant to help youth students deepen their understanding of God's Word and apply the truth of Scripture to their lives.
So, using this devotional is relatively simple. When you access the devotional, you will find the date and title of the devotional at the top of the page. Then, there will be a passage of Scripture for the student to read. Below is a short paragraph that aims to explain, encourage, and exhort the student. At the bottom of the page, students will find 2 things: (1) three questions that will prompt them to consider what they have read and learned and (2) an optional suggested Bible Reading plan that they can do if they have not already started one or have one.
The MBC Youth Daily Devotionals will be available at the earliest in the morning (@ 7:00 AM) and the latest in the early afternoon (@ Noon), Monday through Friday. There will be no devotionals posted on Saturday or Sunday.
