Ephesians 5:22–33

  1. Following Christ’s Example:
How does seeing Christ as the head of the church help shape the way husbands and wives relate to one another in everyday life—especially when it’s difficult?

  2. Loving Sacrificially:
Husbands are called to love their wives “as Christ loved the church.” What does sacrificial love look like in practical, daily ways (time, service, words, decisions)?

  3. Encouraging Growth in Holiness:
Christ’s love sanctifies His church. How can husbands and wives encourage each other’s spiritual growth instead of getting in the way of it?

  4. Seeing Marriage as One Flesh:
What does it mean to think and act as “one flesh” in marriage? How could this perspective help you make decisions together about money, parenting, or priorities?

  5. Reflecting the Gospel Together:
Marriage is meant to point others to the relationship between Christ and His church. What are some specific ways your marriage (or view of marriage) can display the gospel to your children, church, and community?

  6. Respect and Love in Practice:
Verse 33 summarizes it simply: husbands love, wives respect. What are some practical, everyday ways husbands can show love and wives can show respect—especially in moments of tension or disagreement?
