Habakkuk 2:2-5

1. What situation has led you to think that God was being indifferent toward you or inconsistent in His actions?
2. In the midst of Habakkuk’s struggles with Yahweh, Yahweh was patient and merciful towards Habakkuk. When have you experienced this very thing in your own life?
3. Why is the truth, “God cannot lie,” of tremendous importance to the Christian faith?  How have you seen this truth demonstrated in your own life?
4. What are the differences between worldly happiness and biblical happiness?  Why is worldly happiness so appealing to us?
5. The Babylonians/Chaldeans seem to have everything that the world could offer and yet they were unsatisfied/unhappy. What worldly possession have you longed for believing that it would provide you with true, lasting joy?
6. Good works are evidence of an individual’s trust in God. What good works have you seen your spouse perform that demonstrate their faith in Yahweh?
7. Why do we doubt the promises of God?  What can help us grow in our trust in the promises of God?
