.) Pastor Nate began by giving a few reasons why the letter of Jude is often ignored. How much time have you spent in Jude? What have you appreciated from the letter? What questions does it bring up for you?

.) Jude’s message about judgment is sometimes perceived as unloving. How does the Bible define true love, and how is it different from the way love is often defined by society? How should this shape the way Christians respond to sin and cultural pressures?

.) Pastor Nate talked about Jude being the half brother of Jesus. Why is that important when seeing how Jude describes his relationship with Jesus?

.) Jude warns against compromising with false teaching. Why might churches today be tempted to give up ground to culture, and how can believers lovingly stand firm in God’s truth without compromising?

.) In the second half of Jude 1, we don’t see a specific church for this letter. However, Jude does use the words “called”, “beloved”, and “kept”. What are the theological implications of talking to the people of God as “called”, “beloved”, and “kept”? How should we be comforted by each of these words?

.) As a community group, what are ways we can love and support one another as described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-6 in the coming weeks with Thanksgiving and Christmas on the horizon?
