  1. What stood out to you today from today’s passage?
  1. There are many ways described in the Scriptures, such as Genealogies, Psalms, and the Lord’s Supper, which have reminded God’s people of God’s grace, goodness, and faithfulness to them. Which of these reminders from Scripture has benefited you the most in your walk with the LORD?
  1. What have you intentionally set up to help you remember God’s grace, goodness, and faithfulness to you, which in turn spurs you on to praise of God and trust in God?
  1. Nine things were brought to our attention from the genealogy in today’s text. Which one did you find most interesting?
  1. Read 2nd Timothy 2:1-4.
  1. Do you think that the language found in the Bible concerning war, battle, and armies has become a smaller part of the Church’s vocabulary in recent years? If so, why?
  1. Followers of Christ have been enlisted by Christ to be in the army of Christ. What type of imagery or thoughts flood your mind when you think about being a soldier of Christ?
  1. The aim of soldiers in the army of Christ is to please Christ because we love Christ. And we love Christ because He first loved us.  When you ponder the love of Christ for you, what terms come to the forefront of your thoughts?
