Acts 6:1-6, 1 Timothy 3:8-13

• Recite Colossians 3:16-17 together.
• Read Acts 6:1-6.  What stood out to you from the passage?  Was this a familiar passage to you?
• What stood out to you from the lesson?
• Read 1 Timothy 3:8-13.  What stood out to you from the passage?  Was this a familiar passage to you?
• Was there anything in your understanding of deacons that was affirmed or challenged by this message?
• There were three questions asked at the end of the message: 1) If asked, could you recognize those in the church who are of godly character? 2) If others are looking at you, would they see you as one of godly character? 3) Are you ready (meet criteria) and willing to serve (deacon) in the church, whether called to an official office or not?  Spend time discussing these questions.
• Pray for MBC and the role of deacons in the church.
