Exodus 4:18-23

  1. Read Exodus 4:18 - 23.
  1. We have been in Exodus for three months. What has stood out to you from this book and why?
  1. Describe a certain situation or a major decision in which you got cold feet. How did the LORD show you kindness concerning that situation or decision?
  1. The LORD said to Moses, “but I will harden his heart, so that he will not let the people go.” What is your initial reaction to these words?  What questions do these words stir up in your mind?
  1. It was said multiple times that the LORD is free to do whatever He pleases for the glory of His great and Awesome Name. How does that reality serve as a great comfort to believers?
  1. God’s words, “but I will harden his heart, so that he will not let the people go” encouraged and prepared Moses for his encounter with Pharoah. What truth of Scripture or section of Scripture has been an encouragement to you during the month of March?
  1. When you hear about being adopted by God through Jesus Christ, becoming a child of God, by the grace of God, what thoughts flood your heart and mind?
  1. Why does God hate sin?
  1. Sin has far-reaching and destructive consequences. Give an example of this that you have witnessed.
  1. What particular sin are you striving by the power of the Holy Spirit to kill with the Word of God (the Sword of the Spirit) in order that you would be conformed to the image of Christ for the glory of God?
