Ephesians 6:14-15

  1. Reflect on the dual nature of our spiritual battle, involving both defense and offense. How have you experienced both of these things in your Christian life?
  2. The sermon emphasizes the importance of the “belt of truth.” How do you actively secure the truth of the gospel in your daily life? What challenges do you face in doing so?
  3. Satan twists and distorts the gospel through false teachings. How can we, as a community, support each other in discerning and standing firm against such distortions?
  4. When have you “given up ground” by failing to stand up and proclaim the gospel when God has provided an opportunity for you? How can understanding the importance of holding our ground in spiritual battles encourage you to seize such opportunities in the future?
  5. Discuss the concept of the “breastplate of righteousness.” How does knowing that you are clothed in Christ’s righteousness affect your view of past sins and your assurance of salvation?
  6. How do you distinguish between the Holy Spirit’s conviction and Satan’s accusations in your life? Share a personal experience where you discerned the difference.
  7. Reflect on a time when you felt attacked by doubt or shame about your justification before God. How did you overcome it, and how can we help each other to stand firm in such moments?
  8. Do you believe in the transformative power of the gospel for our schools, communities, and nations as mentioned in the sermon? Share a vision or idea you have for how the gospel could impact our local area.
  9. Nate called us not to fear or doubt but to march forward. What practical ways can we take individually and as a group to embody this courage and advance the gospel in our daily lives?
