  1. What is the most popular phrase in the first 12 verses of Exodus, and why does the LORD keep repeating it?

  1. Commandment #5 of the Decalogue is the first of the horizontal commandments and it serves as a bridge between the commandments concerning love for God and love for our neighbors. Why do you think honoring our parents serves as the foundation for how we treat others?
  1. What does it mean to honor our father and our mother?
  1. During the sermon, it was mentioned that children outside the home can publicly and privately hold their parents in the highest regard by caring for their parents’ needs, bringing joy to them, showing appreciation, and asking for forgiveness. Which of these stands out to you?
