Psalm 2

1. Pastor Nate mentioned that we will be spending the next two months looking at Psalms that are saturated in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Why is it good for us to look for Christ in the Old Testament? How does the Old Testament help us understand the New Testament?

2. Psalm 2 begins with the sinfulness of man. The nations rage, kings and rulers set themselves against the Lord. Where do you see this in our world today? Why are people so opposed to the Lord?

3. In verse 4, this psalm turns from the stupidity of man to the soverignty of God. How does knowing the Lord is in control over all things bring you comfort? What was a moment in your life where things were out of control but you trusted in the Lord?

4. Verse 5 & 6 speak of Jesus being King over all. What is significant about Jesus being King? What is significant about Jesus being the Son as verses 7,8 and 9 speak of?

5. This psalm concludes with an exhortation from the Lord. We are instructed to respond appropriatly to Jesus. What is the appropriate response to Jesus found in verses 11 & 12?
