Exodus 16
- Sing a hymn together.
- Read Exodus 16.
- Pastor Nate mentioned that God takes his people through challenging times to grow us in holiness. Who have you seen go through a challenging time and grow in their holiness through it? How did this encourage you?
- We see in this passage that God’s people sin by failing to trust the Lord amid their wilderness experience. How does a lack of trust in the Lord lead to sin? Tell of a time when you didn’t trust in the Lord when you should have.
- In their sin, God’s people wished to go back to their old life: being slaves under Pharaoh’s rule. Why do we often run back to the sinful ways we used to live in? How can we continually put off the old self and put on the new self in Christ?
- Rather than let grief and sorrow consume us in hard times, how can we praise Him and rejoice in Him through hard times?
- Pray for those who have recently lost loved ones at MBC and ask Him to strengthen their faith through their loss.
