Ephesians 16:22-36
- Read or recite James 1:2 – 4 together.
- Read Exodus 16:22 - 36.
- According to Deuteronomy Ch. 8:1 - 3, Yahweh gave His people bread from Heaven in the wilderness to sanctify them (to increase their affection for Him, trust in Him, and obedience to Him). The LORD has given us His Word to sanctify us (Matthew 4:1 – 4, John 17:17). What passage of Scripture has the LORD used recently to increase your affection for Him, trust in Him, and obedience to Him?
- How are you doing on your 2026 Bible reading plan? What has helped you enjoy reading the Bible daily in 2026, or what has hindered your enjoyment of reading the Bible daily in 2026?
- It was said that the Sabbath is a privilege for God’s people, not a restriction on God’s people. Have you ever considered the Sabbath a privilege and not a restriction? When you consider the Sabbath, what thoughts or ideas normally come to your mind?
- Why is the Sabbath a privilege, a blessing to God’s people?
- At first, some of God’s people did not obey Condition #4 of Yahweh’s test (Collect double the amount of manna on the 6th day because none would be available on the Sabbath). In response to the Israelites' sin, the LORD firmly and lovingly rebuked them. Why is it good to be rebuked by others for our sin against God? Why is it often difficult to rebuke others for their sin against God?
- The manna that God provided His people in the Wilderness was indescribable. Was there any specific characteristics about the bread from Heaven that stood out to you?
- The True, Ultimate Bread from Heaven, Jesus Christ, is indescribable. As you consider the characteristics of Christ, what stands out to you, and how does it stir up your affections for Him?
- Pray together.
