Exodus 16:1-4

1. Read this month’s memory verses, James 1:2 - 4, together.

2. Read Exodus 16:1 - 4.

3. The bread from heaven given to the Israelites in the Wilderness of Sin foreshadowed the ultimate bread from heaven, Jesus Christ. Where are some other places in the Old Testament that Jesus Christ is foreshadowed?

4. Why does one who sins against God deserve immediate death from God? What does this teach about the character of God?

5. Each of us deserves to be crushed by God for our sin against God, but God sent His Son to be crushed by Him on behalf of sinners. How does this marvelous reality encourage you in the faith?

6. Pastor Nate recited a large portion of Isaiah 53 during the sermon. Why is the memorization of Scripture vital to living a Christ-exalting life?

7. Near the end of the sermon, we were given six ways to feast on Christ. What were they, and which of these stood out to you?  If you need help answering this question, listen again to the last 10 minutes of the sermon.

8. How have you experienced an abundant life this week as a result of feasting on Christ?
