1. Read or recite Psalm 119: 129 - 131 together.

3. What is one thing that you have taken away from MBC’s time in the Ten Commandments?

4. Which of the Ten Commandments is currently most challenging for you to gladly obey?

5. It was stated that the Decalogue reveals to us five realities: #1: God is morally good, #2: Humanity is morally corrupt, #3: Humanity desperately needs a Savior, #4: God is merciful, and #5: God is kind. Which of those realities stands out to you? 

6. What is the difference between commandments 6 – 9 and commandment #10?

7. Covetousness is an inordinate and wrong longing for something possessed by another. What have you been guilty of coveting?

8. Covetousness was called a gateway sin that leads to many other sins such as envy, anger, bitterness, complaining, and greed, which can lead to wicked actions such as adultery, assault, lying, murder, and theft. How have you seen this play out in your own life? 

9. It was said that idols in the heart produce covetous desires in one’s life. Therefore, to eliminate our covetous desires, we need to abandon the idols in our hearts.  But how do we abandon the idols in our hearts? (Remember Pastor Nate’s example of Mr. Toad from Wind in the Willows) 

10. Christ is the greatest treasure we can know, possess, and enjoy, but how do we practically make Him the treasure vastly superior to all other treasures in our lives?
