Jr. & Sr. High
Helping Junior & Senior High School Students meet Jesus and be radically changed by Him!!
Where can you go on a Sunday night, where you know there's a good chance you'll end up seeing someone do something crazy, like trying to balance 7 ding dongs on their head, or eat a mysterious jar of baby food, or attach a yo-yo to the back of their pants and try and knock over empty pop cans? Where can you go on a Sunday night where YOU might be the one doing those things?
Our Jr. & Sr. High Youth program is awesome. We've got amazing leaders, amazing students, and we know how to have an amazing time.
Our main gathering takes place on Sunday nights for students in grades 7-12. We meet at 6:00 in the youth facility for dinner. We then split into two groups, the Jr. High group (7th & 8th grade) meets in Room E in the main church building, and the Sr. High group (9th-12th grade) meets in the Youth Center.
On Sunday mornings at 9 AM, we also meet as 2 groups. The Middle School Sunday School consists of 6th-8th graders, and will go through "The Gospel Project for Students" in North Plaza 2. The Sr. High Sunday School consists of 9th-12th graders, and will do a study on creation as told in the Book of Genesis in North Plaza 4.
We also take part in various events throughout the year. Here's some of the stuff we do:
One of the country's largest music festivals. We never miss this incredible event full of great music and inspiring messages by some of today's best youth communicators.
A mother-daughter event that draws the ladies back every year. It's a great weekend of learning and girl-time.
Youth Mission Trips
Our youth group will be embarking on two mission trips this coming year. One will be to Mexico, July 6-14. The other will be to the Philippines June 29-July 17. If you are interested in going on these trips, there will be an informational meeting on November 18, right after 2nd service in the Fireside Room.
You also never know when we're gonna throw you a curveball, like midnight bowling, a trip to Boulder Cave, or helping out at Habitat For Humanity. We enjoy keeping you on your toes!
