MBC Family,
It is time for us to move FORWARD as a church body. By God’s grace, we have seen a continual influx of new faces and families on Sunday mornings. In light of this, MBC is embarking on a three-phase campaign, called FORWARD. The goal of this campaign is to raise $150,000 for the purpose of accommodating the growing needs of our church family.
Phase one is the construction of a venue in our Fellowship Hall to replace our current overflow room in the Fireside Room. Our hope for this venue is that on Sunday mornings the people in this area will have a similar worship experience to those in the Worship Center. In addition, this will move our seating capacity for both services on Sunday morning from 660 seats to 860 seats. This increases our seating capacity by 30% on Sunday mornings. It also allows MBC to stay at two services, which enhances our ability to cultivate community in our church family.
The cost for the first phase of our FORWARD campaign is $60,000. Work has already begun on the construction of this new venue and the funds for the work are currently being taken from our church savings.
The second phase of our campaign focuses on office space for the church staff. The goal of this phase is to get all church staff out of the deteriorating current office space in the old parsonage and relocate to South Portable 2. South Portable 2 will be reconfigured to look like the office space in South Portable 1.
The cost for the second phase of our FORWARD campaign is $55,000. Work will not commence on this phase of the campaign until $75,000 has been raised.
The third phase of our campaign concerns the old parsonage. Through this phase, we want to beautify our MBC campus by removing the old parsonage. The parsonage has served our church well for many years, but the time has come for it to be removed.
The cost for the third phase of our FORWARD campaign is $35,000. Work will begin on this phase of the campaign when phase two has been completed.
